The Paris 2024 teams talk to us about the Olympics!

The transport of accredited persons (athletes, referees, broadcasters, volunteers and staff members) during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to the host cities is thanks in part to Jean-Philippe Leseigneur, Audrey Ostertag and Mathieu Berland, members of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee! 👏💪

From the BOC, the bus systems control centre located in Aulnay-sous-Bois, and with the support of the Saybus and Réunir teams, their missions were to plan, anticipate and regulate the transport operations of accredited persons. 🏅 It was a major challenge, particularly during the busy period when no fewer than 250 vehicles were being managed simultaneously! 🚐💨

To achieve this, the Saybus and Réunir teams used Hubup, a software package that enables buses to be located in real time, in order to supervise transport operations remotely and warn drivers directly in the event of a route change.

Safety: a challenge to be met

To ensure the security of an event of this scale, a ‘clean to clean’ system was put in place: seals were affixed to the bus hatches and doors to ensure that they had not been opened, thereby reducing inspection times.

The drivers were also escorted by the forces of law and order to guarantee safety on the route and keep traffic flowing.

During the ceremony, more than 150 motorbikes were used to escort the various vehicles,’ says Jean-Philippe Leseigneur.

A unifying logo

One of the wishes of Jean-Philippe, Bus Operations Manager, was to create a logo to represent and unite the bus unit during these Olympic Games. To achieve this, Réunir’s Marketing and Communications team created a unique, unifying logo, which was affixed to the drivers’ uniforms and used in goodies.

Saybus: a major asset for a major event

Jean-Philippe, Audrey and Mathieu underline the major advantage represented by the presence of the Saybus and Réunir teams and their members at the BOC: flexible and expert SMEs, a single operator to facilitate exchanges thanks to the Saybus teams, and extensive coverage throughout France. 🤝

Jean-Philippe highlights the team cohesion during the event and expresses his pride:

Saybus’ presence at the BOC was a great added value and it was a pleasure to work with the various stakeholders. If I had to sum up this experience in three words: challenge, pride and team cohesion.

✨ For Audrey, the Olympics were ‘a magical moment’, ‘unique in our lives’. As for Mathieu, this experience rhymes with meetings and pleasure.

A big thank you to the whole Paris 2024 team for their trust during this collaboration! 🙌🔥
