WorldSkills France: A Celebration of Professional Excellence

The 47th WorldSkills Competition took place from September 10 to 15 at Eurexpo Lyon. This event is an opportunity to promote skills and training. The competition is open to young professionals from all over France, including overseas. All young people under the age of 23 in the year of the World Contest are eligible to participate, regardless of their training or status. Some professions are open to people under the age of 26.

Memorable Moments in Numbers

This year’s event was marked by the participation of 1,500 contestants worldwide, competing passionately in 64 different trades. The event brought together 65 participating countries and regions in a competition that took place under the watchful eyes of 250,000 visitors who came to encourage and discover emerging talent.

WorldSkills France – Trade Excellence

Beyond the numbers, WorldSkills France positions itself as a movement dedicated to youth and pride in the trades. The event puts the spotlight on trades and extends their recognition through competitions that showcase the passion and know-how of young people. This edition was a catalyst, inspiring young people to embrace these professions with determination.

Saybus plays a key role

Saybus played its part by providing bus transportation. By contributing to the mobility of participants, experts, and visitors, the transport teams facilitated the smooth running of the event. This collaboration underlines the importance of partnerships for the success of such events and demonstrates companies’ commitment to developing skills and promoting careers.

Réunir represented at WorldSkills

The Groupe Associatif Réunir, of which Saybus is a subsidiary, had the opportunity to encourage 3 participants, employees of Réunir member SMEs, during the competition! Quentin Girard, a worthy representative of Viabus know-how, won the “coach and bus driver” competition. This event was represented for the first time!

The WorldSkills France Global Skills Competition was much more than a competition. It was a true ode to excellence in craftsmanship, a celebration of passion and know-how.
