Le GPN Partnership Committee

Within the Global Passenger Network (GPN), Saybus has won the recognition of other members and has carved out a prominent place at the heart of network decisions.

What is the GPN Partnership Committee?

The arrival of Saybus in the Committee

As if to celebrate the arrival of Saybus in the Partnership Committee of Global Passenger Network (GPN) , the last meeting took place in Lyon in September 2019, at the premises of Saybus.

Wednesday, September 25, 2019 was therefore Saybus’s first participation in the GPN Partnership Committee since joining the network in March 2019. Today, the Partnership is made up of six members.

The first, and the only one of its kind, is First Travel Solution (FTS), which is an affiliate partner of GPN. FTS is a company offering solutions for business or leisure travel (coach, train, plane, etc.). FTS is the subsidiary of the First group specializing in land passenger transport.

The other five members are coach operators who are members of the GPN network:

Following this day, the members of the Committee were able to attend the launch party of the new commercial brand Saybus.

The challenges of the Committee

For the members of the Partnership Committee, the objective is to increase awareness of the GPN network among professionals in the world of road passenger transport. One of the main objectives is to invite and bring together as many partners as possible within GPN: equipment manufacturers, manufacturers, etc. These partnerships make it possible to develop exchanges around the respective activities of partners and carriers, and thus be beneficial to each actor.

Today GPN has different types of partners , and first of all, manufacturers, such as Scania, VDL Bus & amp; Coach or even Van Hool. The network also has specialized equipment suppliers: tires with Bridgetstone, bicycle trailers with Bikeliner, fire protection systems with Dafo, and even Allison Transmission, the world’s largest manufacturer of automatic gearboxes for professional vehicles.

GPN pays particular attention to working with partners concerned with ecology and sustainable equipment, such as SolarBus, which offers the installation of solar panels on the roofs of buses.

The Committee at the heart of GPN meetings

GPN at Busworld

Saybus was in Leuven, Belgium, from October 17 to 20, 2019, for the biannual General Assembly of Global Passenger Network (GPN).

Saybus had the opportunity to present its new brand commercial in front of an assembly of 40 different countries and more than 60 people. GPN members praised the success model of Saybus and the Reunir network.

During these two days, the Saybus team, represented by Alexandre DELVALLEZ and Alissia BEGAG, and its international colleagues had the opportunity to visit the premises of their partner Van Hool, from the installations to the production line of coaches.
The General Meeting was in particular an opportunity to present the reports of the various committees, to participate in round tables on various topical subjects and to welcome new members from Latin America / South America: Mexico, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina. To date GPN has 40 countries!

The General Meeting was held voluntarily in conjunction with the Busworld trade fair , also GPN partner. This fair is held every two years and brings together all the news from the Tourist coach transport sector .

The next GPN General Meetings

To consolidate Saybus’s place within the network, the second General meeting of 2020 will be held in Lyon in November 2020.
During this meeting, it will be a question of innovation, digitalization, clean energy and sustainable rolling stock. Last, but no less important, the emphasis will be on promoting our profession, especially driving staff.

GPN works on a daily basis for the development of coach transport, in particular by forging close links between carriers and partners in the sector. This vision of collaborative work is widely shared by Saybus, which wishes to invest in the promotion of bus transport in its territory and internationally.
Under the impetus of GPN, reflection work is carried out on a daily basis on the profession and its issues, through the various meetings and committees that meet throughout the year. They are an opportunity to set up short, medium and long term projects, for which each actor brings his vision and his ideas.
